Poem

This Poem has no title. I wrote it for Interdisc. It is dedicated to the Memory of Glenn Snyder.

From the Sands of Iwo Jima,
To Bloody Anzio,
You fought to serve our country
So many years ago

From Pearl Harbor to Midway
And to the Coral Sea
Over the skies of France you fought
To keep our country free

Whether soldiers, sailors, medics,
Or our daring aviators
The cause of Freedom drew you on
Our bold and brave crusaders

And in the darkest twilight
Your courage never failed
You held the line all through the fight
As through the night you sailed

We owe you so much, so much more
Than I have words to say
So we thank you for your service
That we never can repay
